SACC by EJC’s Head of Research & Analysis, Yael Landman, took part in the 16th EU-Israel High-Level Seminar on Combating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life, hosted at the European Commission in Brussels.
As part of the seminar, she joined an expert discussion entitled « Main Threats Faced by Jewish Communities”, alongside EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator Bartjan Wegter, Kacper Rekawek (ICCT), EU Special Representative for Human Rights Kajsa Ollongren, and Jonathan Boyd of the Institute for Jewish Policy Research.
Yael Landman presented the redesigned Sentinel platform and its Europe-wide incident heatmap, before walking participants through the growing threat landscape facing Jewish communities. She called for action targeting the root causes of hatred, including the Muslim Brotherhood and Qatari financing that continue to fund and amplify antisemitism and extremism across the continent.
High-level attendees included European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner, European Parliament Vice-President Pina Picierno, Israeli Foreign Minister Gidon Saar (video message), European Commission Coordinator on Combating Antisemitism Katarina Von Schnurbein , and representatives of Jewish organizations.
