A minor armed with two knives was arrested Monday evening near a synagogue in Aix‑en‑Provence (Bouches‑du‑Rhône), according to police sources.
The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. when officers noticed a suspicious individual sitting on the steps of the synagogue. During the identity check, police discovered that he was carrying two knives. He was immediately taken into custody.
The suspect is a Georgian national and a minor. He is not known to the territorial intelligence services or to police criminal records.
