An investigation has been launched after a man made anti-Semitic remarks on Monday, November 3, at Louis Sarkozy’s campaign headquarters in Menton, Alpes-Maritimes. The incident prompted the candidate to file a complaint.

According to his team, the individual entered the premises located on Place Ardoïno and insulted a volunteer present. He allegedly called Louis Sarkozy a “dirty Jew” and told him to “go back to Israel,” while verbally attacking the activist.

The campaign team denounced the remarks as “unacceptably violent” and stated that they aimed “to hurt, divide, and incite hatred.” It reaffirmed its commitment to “zero tolerance for antisemitism.”

Louis Sarkozy stressed that these attacks would not deter “either his commitment or that of his team to serving the people of Menton” and that he expected “justice to act with all the rigor that these facts demand”.

The man responsible for the incident has not yet been identified. Police in Menton are conducting an investigation to clarify the facts and find the person who made the remarks.
