On December 22, 2025, officers from the Romanian General Inspectorate of Police – Directorate for Criminal Investigations, with support from experts of the National Institute of Forensics and special intervention forces from the Special Actions and Interventions Service, carried out a court-ordered home search under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Bucharest Court of Appeal.

The operation is part of a criminal case investigating the systematic dissemination, from March 6, 2024, to the present, of content affiliated with the Legionary Movement via an online-only radio station. The investigation concerns the public use of Legionary symbols, the promotion of individuals convicted of war crimes, and the propagation of Legionary ideology. It also includes the dissemination of messages that allegedly denied, contested, or distorted the nature and scale of the Holocaust, including antisemitic ideas — actions criminalized under Government Emergency Ordinance 31/2002 and Law 157/2018 aimed at preventing and combating antisemitism.

Police seized evidence relevant to the case, and investigations are ongoing to clarify the facts and determine legal responsibility.

Authorities emphasized that the operation was conducted in full compliance with legal procedures and the rights of those involved, and that the measures taken are part of the judicial process, which does not infringe upon the presumption of innocence.
