The Turin public prosecutor’s office has requested that 17 individuals be sent to trial on charges including incitement to commit crimes motivated by racial discrimination and apology of fascism under Italy’s Scelba Law.
The case concerns the group Avanguardia Torino and activities that took place inside a now-closed club known as Edoras. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for the end of January.
One of the charges relates to a public music event held on November 30, 2024. According to prosecutors, the evening promoted and glorified the principles, methods, and actions of fascism, as well as its anti-democratic aims.
