A 62-year-old woman has been charged with supporting a banned terrorist organisation.
Sarah Wilkinson, from Shropshire, will appear in court accused of a number of offences relating to the support of Hamas.
Wilkinson was arrested in August last year and bailed while the investigation continued.
However detectives from Counter Terrorism Policing West Midlands CTU charged Wilkinson on Sunday, October 5.
Wilkinson, from Bishops Castle, was charged with five offences in total.
They are:
- One charge of encouragement – Sec1(1) Terrorism Act 2000
- One charge of dissemination – Sec 2(1) Terrorism Act 2000
- Two charges of supporting – Sec 12(1A) Terrorism Act 2006
- One charge of failing to comply with a Section 49 RIPA notice
West Mercia Police said Wilkinson was due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 20.
