Antisemitic and homophobic graffiti was discovered in Berlin-Neukölln on Tuesday evening. Police confirmed this to rbb upon request.
In total, there were ten criminal charges for property damage caused by graffiti, according to the police – these are located in Lenau-, Friedel-, Pannier- and Pflügerstraße.
State security investigates
éUnknown perpetrators sprayed slogans such as “Free Gaza,” “Fuck Jews,” “Fuck Israel,” and “Fuck LGBTQ,” sometimes in variations, using red and green paint. The window of a pharmacy was defaced, and further slogans were sprayed on building walls and the pavement.
The State Security Unit of the Berlin State Criminal Police Office has taken over the investigation, which includes interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance videos.
