A suspect was arrested by Swedish police on Friday. The suspect is accused of planning a terror attack, although the target has not yet been revealed.
Sweden’s security police, known as Säpo, confirmed that the individual was arrested on Friday April 10th, but gave no further comments. The suspect will be questioned over the weekend.
“I can only confirm that a preliminary investigation is underway regarding planning a terrorist crime and participation in a terrorist organisation, which is a serious crime,” Carl Mellberg, a prosecutor at the National Security Unit, told the TT newswire. “One person has been arrested.”
The arrested person’s lawyer told TT that they had no comment to make at this time.
