Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy from the province of Treviso whose profile emerged during monitoring of far-right supremacist circles.

On social media platforms, his posts were consistently xenophobic. At home, he allegedly possessed materials needed to assemble weapons and claimed he had already built one. These elements led police to arrest a 15-year-old Italian minor from the Treviso area. He is suspected of incitement to commit crimes and glorification of terrorist offenses, as well as self-training and training for terrorist purposes, all aggravated by the use of online platforms.

Hatred of Jews and Instructions to Build Weapons

The arrest stems from an investigation carried out by Digos units from the Milan and Treviso police headquarters, in cooperation with the Central Directorate for Anti-Terrorism. The teenager came to the attention of investigators during monitoring of “online far-right supremacist environments,” aimed at “early detection of dangerous processes of ideological radicalization and at countering xenophobic and antisemitic acts, also to protect Jewish communities.”

Specifically, the 15-year-old is accused of posting “frequent calls to commit acts of violence with a xenophobic and antisemitic motive,” as well as “statements openly praising terrorist acts and glorifying their perpetrators,” to the point of claiming that he had already partially built a firearm.

During a search of his home, police found materials necessary for the construction of weapons and improvised explosive devices, handwritten notes with drawings of weapons and weapon components, and instructions for manufacturing homemade ammunition.

According to investigators, the adolescent is at an “advanced stage of ideological radicalization.”
