The Jewish Observatory of France (OJF) has announced that it has filed a legal complaint following several posts made on X (formerly Twitter) by the account “Real French Madrid” (@rmfrench_).
The posts in question glorify a spokesperson of the armed wing of Hamas – a group listed as a terrorist organization by the European Union – describing him as a “martyr” and “hero.” One post also refers to “Tel Aviv” as the “head of the snake,” using inflammatory language that incites hatred and stigmatization.
“When terrorist violence is celebrated as heroic, this is not commentary on current events – it is the dissemination of death propaganda,” stated the OJF. In the current climate of surging antisemitic incidents, such content acts as a catalyst for hate and an implicit call for violence.
The OJF is calling for firm legal action, including the identification of the account holder and their collaborators, the preservation of connection data, and the immediate removal of all similar content.
