On 29 April 2026, two Jewish men aged 76 and 34 were stabbed on Highfield Avenue in Barnet, north London (Golders Green area) at approximately 11:16am. The attack was declared a terrorist incident by the Metropolitan Police. The suspect, a 45-year-old man with a history of serious violence and mental health issues, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after being tasered by officers. Police are investigating whether the attack deliberately targeted the Jewish community. The incident follows a series of antisemitic attacks in the UK in recent months.
